Synopsis

In the dialysis department of the Brugmann hospital in Brussels, there are patients awaiting transplants. Since 2015, almost all the sick people from abroad who request the right to residence for a serious illness have been dismissed and ordered to leave the country. They know that returning to their country of origin means imminent death. Somewhere between myth, absurd bureaucratic reality and despairing humour, Après le déluge follows four exiles as they fight for their lives.
